Roommate bonding

Hello all,
It is finals week and you can just feel the stress in the air. All the procrastination that occurred this semester is finally catching up to me and all the other students. People are not only spending every waking moment in the library studying, but they are also sleeping in the library!!

Anyway, the main reason that I think I got paired up with a Chinese roommate this year is because I put down on my college application that I was a state champion ping pong player. (I say that I am a state champion at ping pong, but really my team of 10 people won the state tournament)

My freshman dormitory is set up so there are 10 floors. The ground level floor hosts the cafeteria, some study rooms, and an entertainment area that has a pool table and a ping pong table. My roommate and I enjoy playing ping pong against/with each other because it is fun to actually have some good competition. I can honestly say that out of all the games of ping pong I have played in college, no one has ever beat me in a set of 3 games. However, when I am playing my roommate or some of the other Chinese students, it is usually a close game.

Back to finals... It is 2am and my roommate and I are both writing papers for the classes we were each taking. We both just got done with a long paragraph of typing and both leaned back in our chairs at the same exact time and made eye contact with each other. At that moment, we both knew that we needed a study break to go play some ping pong. I grabbed my paddle, he grabbed his and we dueled it out for the next 30 minutes.
